The Master's Degree in Management of Human Resources, Work and Organisations (MARHTO) has been an official qualification since 2008. It has more than 40 professors including teachers, researchers and professionals in the fields related to people management in organisations.
The degree has a planned duration of 1 academic year (from 1 October to 30 September). It is a degree modality blended learning. The face-to-face subjects are taught on the Elche campus of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche. One of the face-to-face subjects corresponds to the first term and the others to the second term. Please check the timetables at the beginning of the academic year. The Master's timetable is usually Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings to make it compatible with other activities. Non-attendance subjects are taken online and have different teaching mechanisms. Students must compulsorily enrol in modules I, III and IV and must choose at least 2 subjects from module II. The minimum total number of credits in which the student must be enrolled is 60 (distributed as follows: 27 + 15 + 12 + 6).
- Module I. Compulsory (27 ECTS credits ? Compulsory). This module is made up of 5 subjects: Advanced Content in Organisational Psychology, Advanced Contents in Human Resources Psychology, Advanced Contents in Work Psychology, Strategy and Organisational Structure y Research Strategies and Techniques.
- Module II. Elective. There are 6 subjects of 7.5 ECTS (45 ECTS credits ? Elective). Students must choose a minimum of 2 subjects of 7.5 ECTS credits. The maximum number of students per group is 35. There are 2 itineraries: Human Resources and Occupational Health. The subjects to choose are Human Resources Design, Human Resources Management, Human Resources Consulting, Intervention in Ergonomics, Assessment and Intervention in Psychosocial Risks y Occupational Health.
- Module III. Master's Thesis(12 ECTS credits ? Compulsory). The Master's Thesis comprises the completion, presentation and defence, once 75% of all the credits of the syllabus have been passed, of an original exercise carried out individually before a university tribunal.
- Module IV. Internships in companies(6 ECTS credits ? compulsory).
MARHTO offers its students the possibility to obtain 2 official degrees in 1 year through the following programmes mobility. There are also grants from the Miguel Hernández University to cover part of the travel expenses involved in these programmes.
